Pedigree for the White Boxers: an outcome signed by the Italian Boxer Club

We are pleased to present to you the pedigree of Italy of Casa Bartolini, the first specimen of white boxer certified by the National Board of Cinofilia Ilana (ENCI). Who has followed the story since the beginning will have gathered dissonant voices about our possible success. We have faced in a concrete way the commitment and the result is appreciated today by the Italian breeders who declare themselves in favor of our initiative.

At a time when political decision-makers are interested in very delicate problems for us cynophiles such as the prevention of aggressions and the danger of certain races, the pedigree rediscovers its primary purpose or ethnic certification and the morpho-characteristic qualities of the subject. In this sense the inscription of white boxers in the Genetic Book becomes a responsibility of the breeder who will avoid putting in circulation puppies of dubious selection that are punctually confused by inexperienced eyes as belonging to other races.

L.ENCI, on the example of the Boxer Klub of Monaco, affixes the words "subject not allowed to reproduction." Discrimination does not take place from health reasons but from the desire to seek a strict adherence to the standard that among the defects of the color of the mantle shows the white that exceeds more than one third of the background color. Considering that a white subject, appropriately coupled, produces playful or tiger puppies will unfortunately continue to limit the genetic pull from which the breeders can draw.

In spite of this, white boxers can participate in the work trials and also re-evaluate themselves with respect to subjects carrying a proven genetic origin that often require drug or surgical therapies, such as cryptorchidism. We hope that it will be fostered a correct and widespread information in the hope that whites will no longer be suppressed or, on the contrary, sold at exorbitant prices because they are mutant as a rarity.

If on the one hand there are those who want to rediscover in white boxers the pride and the pride of the origins of the breed, while on the other hand there are those who have always considered them waste, we propose to respect them for what they are: Boxer. Finally set aside the rumors about their poor health, we return to appreciate their most important value of excellent life companions.
