The Kennel

History

Translated from the Italian original.

Our Origins

The origins of the Boxer Kennel of Casa Bartolini go back to 1956 when my dearest friends Raffaello Mariotti and Luciana Bonetti, owners of the famous bred by David., they have paid tribute to their history and passion, which I still carry on with dedication, love and professionalism. Thank you.

The two vintage pictures. portray me, alone and with my family, together with Brenda del David, the first boxer of the breeding.

Our History

It all began with a simple passion for the Boxer, when he was only a trusted and helpful companion. But with the arrival of Brenda del David the passion became more assiduous. The competitions made only out of curiosity turned into a real passion, rewarded by the results that were advertised on their own, so that everyone wanted the puppies to Brenda. In this way the passion has become a small amateur breeding.

After a few years with the results of the parent and with the help of his daughter Liz the amateur breeding has turned into the Kennel with a poster of Casa BartoliniFrom that moment on, a school of thought has matured on how to mate dogs (using the best studs and bloodlines), which, in addition to beauty, aims at the development of a great balance, an excellent docility and a great tempera.

Today the Kennel of Casa Bartolini can count on a vast staff, excellent facilities and a training camp where our dogs work: all this is located in the campaigns of the Valdera. Our founder   has collected in addition to patents and various victories, titles obtained in veteran class (over eight years to participate) ranking first with the highest of the votes (Excellent) at the championship of the year on September 28, 1997 in Florence and at the International of Genoa on April 25, 1998.

The evolution of the boxer in the beautiful design with dedication to Stefano Bartolini, made by the German breeder Maike Vollmann (in the photo together with her husband) and later used for the breeding logo. In the picture below a diagram with the family tree of the boxers (enlarge with a clik).

A photo, a symbol

I will never forget this photo. When I brought home my Manasse in the summer of 2007 as a zealous neofita, I equipped myself with a manual of the breed. Unfortunately, all the photos took amputated boxers. Only in the chapter dedicated to the standard (introduced since 2001) the editorial staff, not knowing who to take as model (in Italy they were all amputated), put the photo of Leonardo di Casa Bartolini.

Since Manasse is also a dark tiger male with white spots, I was constantly looking at the image to try to understand how it would become my puppy. That photo, before and without imagining the friendship with Stefano Bartolini and the collaboration with the 'Italian Boxer Club (home Bartolini for me was just a high-sounding name), is the beginning of my boxerist story.

I am not experted with morphology and not the beauty exhibitions, although I have eyes to see and I am proud to have two beautiful representatives of their race. In my way of conceiving cynophilia it makes no sense to consider a boxer only from an aesthetic point of view, alien to any other implication.

Leonardo was not just a beautiful boxer, he is a symbol and for this reason he finds on my wall a space that I will not give to another boxer just because it is beautiful.
