Boxer on show: surreal scenarios
Translated from the Italian original.
I am moved to intervene in the stubbornness with which in Italy the white boxer continues to underestimate, presenting it as a dog alone, cut off from the possibilities of high cynophilia, ignoring or pretending to ignore that for almost two years it has not been so anymore.
Today, whites have access to official race rallies in experimental classes, even at the highest level in Germany, Switzerland and the Czech Republic (maybe in other countries of which they are not aware).
At the 2010 Swiss Jahressieger I participated myself by presenting some white subjects of my breeding, along with other breeders and fans of this coloring.
These are not the same competitions dedicated to white only, who take part in the boxer championship in the section dedicated to their coloring, as the Fullivans go in their own and the same do the tiger. It should be said however that in the Czech Republic, before being able to participate in the official gatherings, the White Boxer'srroyor had already organized a rally on their own.
In Italy the Italian Italian Boxer Club, the unofficial breed club, which I founded in 2003, has always admitted white boxers in their demonstrations, without distinction from other colors, also in advance of Germany. But the Boxer Club Italy, which presides over the rules of official gatherings, continues to make gnorri and shines behind the excuse, that white is not a color in standard.
But if Germany admits them, which has the right to change the standard, are we not entitled to admit them too?
Isn't white standard? And Chaval (a Spanish dog amputated with ears and tail) winner of the last Atibox, which was held in Italy, is it standard? Every year at the atibox we look at the surreal scene of an amputated winner, to whom the statue is delivered, which represents the correct intact standard. And at the Italian championship we touch the parade of Russian puppies with cut ears.
I'm going to say madness: a white man is now more standard than a Falvo or an amputated tiger. In fact, white will probably enter the standard, but the amputato will never again be back. I don't exclude that some peripheral club can be able to make recognize a new standard, that still requires tail and cut ears. But the "German boxer" breed will remain intact. At the atibox instead they judge themselves boxers intact, boxers amputated only tail, boxers amputated ears and tail. I would like to go there with an ear-mapped dog and undamaged tail (second surreal scene): I would be curious to know if a boxer so can be judged.
When the standard is changed, it is assumed that the last one is worth: in Italy and at the Atibox instead it is judged according to the standard of 20 years ago. But then - with these premises - I go to expo with a 50 cm high boxer, like Flocky and I pretend that it is judged according to the standard of 1905 (third surreal scenario).
But this imponaturatura on white boxers to who benefits? There are peripheral gatherings, which are difficult to put together 4 subjects to judge and some more members could only help the organization. Probably the owners of whites for the novelty would respond enthusiastically. And, since in the official exhibitions you consider a fantasy boxer, why not whites?
Here I stop: I have great respect for the playful and amputated playwrights of the past... of modern boxers, as I have great respect for the historical white players, who have made the race. But this is the story: what is the point of preventing the future from happening?
