The new one that comes from the past

Sure, because it is recent the story that Stefano Bartolini has been going on since 2003 and that has as protagonist the Boxer and its colors of the cloak that come back overpoweringly from the past.

The history of the Boxer, as the most well known, began a little over a century ago when in Germany it was intended to create a breed to be used for war purposes. The breed that contained power and elegance, strength and tenacity. To get to this were chosen two dogs known for these characters: an ancient German moloss the Bullenbeisser and the best known Inglese bulldog. Precisely from this coupling comes the Wulfe of our Boxer. Of course the selection made sure that the physical characteristics of the Bulldog and the Bullenbeisser melt in an extraordinary way giving life to the Boxer as we know it. But, despite the selection, the Boxer's colors, today, are the same as 100 years ago: Fulvo, Tiger, White and Pezzato.

In fact, finally in 2009 the first pedigree arrived at the Pezzato Manto Boxers: Aragon and Artax of Casa Bartolini. Of course, the satisfaction will be complete with the 360° recognition of White and Pezzato as race representatives like Fulvo and Tigrate. Therefore, it will continue until the last battle that is when they will give answer to the request for deletion of the note: "subject not admitted to reproduction." This statement affixed only on the pedigree of the color boxers "not conform to the standard" is nothing more than an illegitimal position.

It is not possible to understand why in Italy we can have people who have only a vague re-symbol or worse are carriers of serious health problems or of character as long as their coat is "correct" and it is decided that a defect of color is so serious that one has to invent a competence that one does not have, putting a clearly discriminatory stamp. The common sense would want a player to be chosen with good psycho/physical characteristics to wish for an improvement of the race, and not discarded on the basis of a single "unwanted" character.

Considering that despite half a century of total exclusion, in the choices of Boxer breeding, of these two colors, the same continue to appear for a good 30% in the litters, perhaps one should reflect on the useless of such limitation. A conscious choice of controlled reproduction could instead explain the mechanisms for which the color White is overseen in spite of everything and everyone.

Pending a proper conclusion, as the White Boxer deserves after years in which it has been denigrated, the Italian Boxer Club will continue to fight to restore its dignity and to do this all the staff will continue to work tirelessly.
